Giovanni's Fish Market - Morro Bay, CA

For the past week we have been showing horses and super involved at the PCCHA Cutting in Paso Robles. I had shown in the finals of the Non-Pro Classic Challenge and a really unruly cow took away my chances of winning the competition. Scott knew I was bummed and wanted to cheer me up so he decided to skip out to Morro Bay.

I am always on the look out for new, exciting places for us to try so I suggested we try Giovanni's because I heard they had good BBQ Oysters.

You order at the window and then take your seat on the outdoor deck. Your view is stunning as you get to see the action of the small harbor. Scott drooled over the boats and it was just fun to sit there and decompress after the long week.

Our number was called and out came our oysters and beer. I ordered a half dozen of Garlic and butter Oysters, while Scott favored an order of the Sriracha and Lime. The oysters were huge! The shells were nice and deep set so they contained a lot of the sauce, that was my favorite part. We could have stayed there for hours, eating dozens more oysters but we had to get back to Paso Robles.

Before we hit the highway back to town, Scott took me to one of his old surf spots. He can remember surf spots like he can memorize every cow in a herd of solid black cattle.

Thanks Scott for taking me out to Morro Bay and making me realize how lucky I really am. Sometimes I am so involved in the horse deal that I do not realize how blessed I am for my family, health and good friends. I am constantly improving on taking winning and losing in stride and be the best person I can possibly be. It is hard, but I am getting better and better everyday.
