Scott and I had to run errands in Ventura one day last week, we took separate cars because we had different places to go. We buzzed about town and then he called me and asked me out on a date, a lunch date. It was kind of like we weren't an old married couple, sparks! He asked me to meet him at a Sandbox Coffeehouse, conveniently located by one of his favorite surfing hangouts - C Street, Ventura Fairgrounds.
I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and was so satisfied with my choice! The bread was fresh, chicken salad creamy and lettuce crunchy. Seasoned carrots are served with all sandwiches and I felt like a healthy little eater!
Scott ordered the Vegetable Sandwich with avocado, sprouts, tomato, leaf lettuce, red onion, Muenster cheese and mayonnaise. He loved his sandwich just as much as I enjoyed mine.
Would we return for a meal? Sure, it was light and we felt good about eating that type of food. I hope it succeeds so we can return to actually try a coffee drink!
