Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen - Fort Worth, TX

Scott and I landed at DFW with our tummies rumbling! We were starving so as soon as my Mom found us we hightailed for something to eat. I was ravenous and when I saw a sign for Pappadeaux's off the highway I squealed with excitement because it was a "Seafood Kitchen" - my favorite!

I have never tried Alligator, have you? It was deep fried and delicious. Not bad at all, sort of like chicken! Thanks Scott for ordering it!

Kathy ordered the Grilled redfish with Maine lobster, avocado, sautéed spinach, roasted tomatoes in a white wine lemon butter sauce, with zucchini ribbons and it was delicious! I continued to eat off her plate after she was done! The best order of the night!

Blackened mahi mahi with shrimp, scallops and crawfish in a white wine cream sauce, with dirty rice. This was my order but somehow got switched up and Scott ate it. Halfway through the meal we realized it and switched back! It was ok. My mom's was still the winner.

This is me with Scott's order the Catfish and Crawfish Combo served with Dirty Rice. It was too blah for me. Scott took it back to hotel room but I am not sure if it was worth it.

I am glad I finally got the opportunity to dine here. Their menu has so many creative items on it, I cannot wait to try it again and eat my way through the menu!

I had alligator and rattlesnake in the same evening [oh, so adventurous me!] and I have to agree - alligator does taste a lot like chicken. Ours was grilled tho'.

Your Mom's plate definitely looks like the winner. Yum!

Yep, I've had gator several times in New Orleans. Fried is good, it does indeed taste like chicken. It's all about the dipping sauce.

But blackened gator? With seasoning and maybe a squirt of lemon juice? THAT'S my favorite.
