Crompton Family Reunion - Tres Pinos, CA

My family is a big deal to me. I have grown up with a close relationship with not only my brother and sister, but also my cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. When I heard a family reunion was planned over Labor Day I was estatic; that meant I wouldn't miss a horse show or family time. Score!

Upon arrival, I took a seat and relaxed, I had just drove five hours and was ready to unwind with my Papa's dog, Uli.

A "Book on CD" table was set up. Our family all spends a lot of time on the road whether it be for work or competition travel we all appreciate a good "read".

Mom, Aunt Carolyn and Aunt Tricia...

Cousin Allison and her baby, Bindi.

Carolyn getting the party started with some grilled sausage. It was one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Very tasty with the hot mustard served.

It was a very doggie day and Madison was a beautiful ambassador.

My Papa and his sidekick, Uli.

Stuffed sweet peppers ready for a quick blast in the oven. They are always a hit at any party!

The Renz's have a gorgeous yard, Uli loved it as well.

I loved this planter, it was a complete town, isn't the chapel so cute?

Heather made Spinach dip, it was very good.

Just another view of the day.

Allan was head BBQ master, he got to sit and enjoy some company before being put to work.

Tricia and her grandson. Isn't he a doll?

Uncle Wane, working his smoker for our 1st Annual Rib Cook-Off competition.

My sister, Jennifer made an outstanding appetizer dish. It was my favorite thing of the day. Almond and blue cheese stuffed dates, wrapped in bacon. Very tasty. Sweet and savory!

My dad joining in on the festivities...

BBQ at work!

Typical salads: Broccoli and Potato...

Vegetable melody made by John and Lauren...

Bread for sopping up miscellaneous liquids...

Ribs...

More ribs...

Tri-tip and chicken...

Even more ribs...

Yep, another plate!

Fun YELLOW Solo cups...

Worthy of identification!

After dinner conversations...

My steely eyed Grandfather. I asked him to smile and that is what I got! Gotta love it.

My mom and her old pal, Uli.

Dessert was supplied in way of pies and Banana Frosted Cake by Allison. All were outstanding.

I go to so many horse shows a year and miss my family functions so often that it is such a big deal that I actually make one. This party meant was so special. I hope you all enjoy your loved ones as much as I do. I come from a terrific line of individuals and am so blessed to have such a close relationship with them all.
